Play zero-waste pattern as Tangram puzzle!

The concept comes from a very common but inspiring toy in my childhood—Tangram which has only 7 elements but can open endless possibilities to create different shapes.

As many people regard *zero-waste pattern as puzzles, I began to think about if i can add some systematic logic to make my zero-waste pattern blocks no longer be limited to only one design output but have multiple solutions. I spent quite lot of time studying human body dimensions and conventional patterns, doing experiment and analysis to make this possible.

All the patterns of this entire collection are composed by only 1 kind of curve and straight line, which allows the blocks be easily reconstructed into different zero-waste styles just like how tangram works. As the example above, the top, trousers and dress are all sharing the exact same pattern layout. Welcome to TANGRAM CLUB!

*Zero waste pattern-cutting is the process of altering a pattern to ensure that all the pattern pieces of a garment fit together like a giant jigsaw puzzle so there is no wastage between the pattern pieces.
