Plastic Bag Upcycling Workshop for the Elderly Community in Keelung

Pei-Wen and the team from Shih Chien University visited Keelung, where they collaborated with elderly community members in a rewarding upcycling experience. Together, they collected disposable plastic bags from their daily lives and skillfully transformed them into sturdy, waterproof fabric. By adding buttons, they turned these creations into unique accessories, each possessing its own charm.

Through this workshop, participants not only gained insight into waste management but also played a part in reducing plastic waste in their community. Moreover, it facilitated intergenerational interaction, allowing participants to share knowledge and experiences, fostering meaningful connections and lasting memories.
